Article writing is considered fairly boring by most people. I’m not talking about writing the odd extremely high quality article every now and again. I’m talking about mass producing hundreds of articles for use on your content sites and also on article directories like EzineArticles.

What’s the most number of articles that you have managed to write in a single day? I think my record is about 30. Try as I might, the sheer boredom prevents me from writing any more than that.

One way of dealing with this is to outsource your articles. If your average income earned per article (say over 12 months) is higher than the cost to produce it then you should go for it.

You can hire article writers from a number of freelance sites on the internet. The biggest ones are RentaCoder and Elance. Scriptlance is also a very good site.

When you visit these sites to find an article writer, you should create a new project. Be as specific as you can about what you want. Minimum and maximum no. of words per article, keyword density etc. I suggest that you supply the titles and keywords for the writer to use. Also specify a minimum rating and that they send you samples of their work. Start with a small project of about 20 articles and be clear on a deadline. If all goes well then you can order more from the winning writer at a later date.

Freelancers will now bid on your project. Do not just accept the cheapest. Accept the best writer within your budget. Normally you can expect to pay around 5 bucks per article but sometimes as low as one dollar. Obviously, do not expect to win the Booker Prize by paying a dollar per article!

In general, the written quality of outsourced articles ranges from poor to average to very good. My personal opinion is that they are good enough for subjects that I know nothing about. However, for subjects where I am an expert, I feel that it is better for me to write my own articles rather than outsource them, to ensure continuity and quality.
